Pessoalmente adorava ter um espelho destes. E garanto que os meus passos de dança não iriam ser  melhores dos que aparecem no video.

Peço desculpa pelo desaparecimento mas tenho andando doente estes últimos dias. Mas o importante é que a coisa por estes lados parece já está a melhorar e amanhã já devo estar quase a 100%.

I'm sorry for the lack of posts these last few days. I've been feeling sick but things are getting better now and I think tomorrow I'll be almost 100% good again.

Dove Real Beauty Sketches

Tenho uma certa fraqueza pelas publicidades das marcas dirigidas ao público feminino, mas isso se calhar é apenas um sinal que estão realmente a fazer um bom trabalho. Adoro as várias campanhas que fazem. São campanhas que apesar de terem o intuito de vender a marca conseguem sempre tocar nos pontos mais fracos de uma mulher. E isto apenas demonstra o quão estas marcas realmente conhecem o seu público.

Quer queiramos ou não vivemos desde sempre numa sociedade em que o conceito de beleza afecta bastante cada um de nós. Não precisamos perder tempo com palavrinhas bonitas e convenientes porque todas as mulheres querem ser bonitas e todos os homens querem ter uma mulher bonita ao seu lado. Ppronto, nem todos os home mas isso é outra história!

Sim, a beleza interior conta bastante mas uma mulher tem o direito a procurar simultaneamente a beleza exterior. Cada uma de nós tem o direito a procurar sentir-se bem quando se olha ao espelho. E é disso mesmo que fala a campanha lançada pela Dove este mês. 

One of my weaknesses when it comes to publicity is mainly the ones made by feminin brands. But maybe that's just a sign those brands are really doing a great job. I love to watch all those public actions because, despite having the main goal of selling its image, it always approaches some of the women's biggest weaknesses. That shows how much these brands really do know their public.

That fact is that, no matter what we want to believe, we live in a society which its beauty concept affects each one of us. Lets not waste time saying pretty convinient words because all women want to be pretty and all men want to have a pretty woman by his side. Well, not ALL men but that's a whole another story!

Yes, I do agree inner beauty is REALLY important and appreciated but every woman has also the right to search at the same time her own physical beauty. Each one of us has the right to feel good about ourselves when we look in the mirror. And that's exactly what Dove's new campaign talks about. 

Boston.

Todos devem saber, com certeza, o que se passou em Boston. É realmente de lamentar estas coisas e a história daquele rapazinho que morreu é de partir o coração. Despedir-se do pai e morrer logo de seguida é realmente uma ironia do destino. Mas também não vamos esquecer todas as outras pessoas inocentes que morreram de formas horríveis e que ninguém se importa de divulgar. Porque tiveram o azar de nascer em países pobre e em guerra? Não sei, mas é importante não esquecer e deixar todas essas mortes também serem em vão. 

Não vou estar aqui com comentários sobre o ser humano ser horrível, até porque não podemos inserir-nos na categoria de lixo apenas porque uma pequena percentagem de nós é horrenda. Só espero que, aos poucos e poucos, a igualdade faça-se notar e também consigamos dar valor às boas notícias - que acreditem ou não são bastantes.

I'm sure most of you already know what happened in Boston. It's truly a shame things like these keep happening over and over again and the story of that little boy who died is the most heartbreaking one I've heard in a while. Saying goodbye to his dad and die a few moments later is such a sad destiny. But lets not forget about all those other innocent people who die in such horrible ways every day but no one care to tell the world. Because they were unlucky to be born in a poor country in war? I don't know about that but I do know that it's important to not forget that happends and it's also important to not let this deaths be in vain.

I'm not gonna post comments about how the human race is horrible because I believe we shouldn't see ourselves like garbage just because a few of us are bad persons. I just hope that equality will make itself noticed and people will pay more attention to the good news - which believe it or not are quite a few.

Ando numa maré de azar!

Sinto que isto vai soar extremamente fútil mas...não é que tudo de mau que podia acontecer à minha maquilhagem aconteceu?! O meu pó bronzeador caiu ao chão e partiu-se aos bocadinhos. As minhas sombras pretas e brancas caíram ao chão e a caixa partiu-se. O meu corrector de olheiras caiu ao chão e partiu-se. A minha caixa com o algumas sombras acastanhadas e o blush caiu ao chão e partiu-se. No outro dia deixei cair o meu rímel, pisei-o e entortei-o ligeiramente. Que montão de coisas maravilhosas!

I am aware how this will certainly sound extremely superficial but...all the bad things that could happen to my makeup happened for sure. My bronzer fell on the floor and broke in hundreds of small pieces. My black and white shadows fell on the floor and the box broke. My eye concealer feel on the floor and broke in two parts. My small box with the brown-ish shadows and my blush fell on the floor and broke. The other day my mascara feel on the floor, I step on it and it's now slightly bent. How so many awesome things in such a short amount of time!

Hoje tivemos assim...

Hoje houve um almoço de amigos em casa de uma colega. Depois de comer bem à custa dos outros (a comida assim até sabe melhor!) foi hora de tomar um cafézinho à beira mar. Maravilha!

Today I had a lunch with my group of friends. After eating in my friend's house (food tastes even better when it's made buy another person!) it was time for a coffee in front of the beach. Nice!

Portugal é considerado o melhor destino do mundo para 2013

Portugal é o melhor país para visitar durante as próximas férias de Verão. Quem o garante é o portal de viagens Globe Sposts, que atribuiu ao território português o destaque especial no ranking dos dez melhores destinos de 2013.

Pelo quinto ano consecutivo, o guia internacional captou "o que de melhor se está a passar no mundo das viagens" e apresentou a lista dos melhores dez melhores países para conhecer. Portugal surge em primeiro lugar e é inserido na categoria de "melhor destino para grandes paisagens".

 

"Como de costume, focámo-nos em destinos que consideramos que terão temperaturas quentes", explica o artigo da Globe Spots. Portugal surge como um país que liberta "o velho charme europeu" e que dá a oportunidade aos seus turistas de visitarem "alojamentos históricos e cidades medievais cheias de praças, igrejas e mosteiros".

 

"Ruas estreitas são ladeadas por casas antigas com varandas enviesadas, cobertas por roupas estendidas a secar. Aqui, os vizinhos ainda partilham a partir das suas janelas os seus últimos segredos e discutem política", evidencia o portal.

 

O Globe Spots destaca o "ritmo lento" das cidades portuguesas, que fazem com que "todos os dias sejam bons dias para um bebida" numa das muitas pastelarias e tabernas que existem "com tanta abundância".

 

"O mais provável é que depois de alguns dias em Portugal, se encontre sentado numa pequena praça com um copo de Vinho do Porto na mão, quer goste ou não da bebida. É apenas uma das coisas que Portugal lhe faz.", conta o portal. 

 

Na categoria de "melhor destino para grandes vistas e viagens convenientes", em que Portugal se situa, estão também inseridos Cuba e Canadá, que surgem no sétimo e décimo lugar, respectivamente.

Portugal is the best country to visit during your next summer vacations. Who says it is Globe Spot, which gave Portugal a special place in the #Top 10 Countries for 2013" rank.

For the 5th year, this international guide posted about the best in the travelling word and mentioned the ten best countries to get to know. Portugal comes first at "best destiny for great views".

"As usual we focused on destinations we think will be hot - or at least should be.", explains Globe Spots. Portugal comes up as a country which gives you the "old european charm" and also gives tourists the opportunity to visit "medieval towns and historical quarters full of squares, churches and monasteries".

 Narrow lanes and flanked by old skew houses and crooked balconies in drying laundry. Here, neighbours still share the latest gossip or discuss politics from their windows", the website writes.

Globe Spots asks attention for the "soothingly slow pace" of the portuguese cities which makes "every day worth of a drink" in one of the many pastry shops and taverns. 

"Chances are that after a few days in Portugal, you'll find yourseld sitting in a small square with a glass of tawny port in your hand, no matter whether you previously liked the stuff or not. It's just one of those things Portugal does to you", again the website says.

 In the "best destiny for long stays and convinient trips" Portugal comes in a list where we can also see names like Cuba and Canada, seventh and eleventh place, respectively.

O meu problema com a comida...

Adoro comida! Se pudesse e não tivesse medo de ficar obesa nunca pararia e seria maravilhosamente feliz a comer bolachas e a beber leite achocolatado para toda a vida. O meu problema é que ultimamente fartei-me  de comer carne. Seja qual for o prato que encontre na mesa já não me dá gosto de comer. É realmente uma pena porque passei momentos maravilhosos a encher a pança em tempo record.

Não me vou tornar vegetariana. Primeiro porque dava muito trabalho até perceber o que era ou não era suposto comer. Segundo porque seria um enorme desperdício tendo em consideração a maravilhosa comida portuguesa e italiana. Tem que haver algo novo e suficientemente bom para alimentar esta relação tão promissora que tenho com a comida. O ideal dos ideais era ser algo com muita massa e molhos que façam engordar só de olhar...

I love food! I love it to the point that I could spend the rest of my life eating cookies and drinking chocolate milk if I wasn't so scared of becoming obese. The problem is that lately I've been feeling kind of tired of eating meat. No matter what type of food I find on the table it doesn't really catch my attention, which is a shame because I spent many great moments feeding myself like a pig in a record time.

I'm definitely not gonna become vegetarian. First of all, it would be a lot of work until I knew 100% what I could and couldn't eat. Second of all, it would be a shame considering the type of food we have here in Portugal. Or even italian food! I guess I just need some help at finding new dishes to cook. There must be something good enough to save this passionate relationship. I know it needs to have lots of pasta and lots of sauce which makes you gain weight just by looking at it...

All around the world...

Adorava ser daquelas pessoas cuja profissão é viajar e comentar depois a experiência. Deve ser o estilo de vida mais fascinante de sempre. Pegar na mochila às costas e andar por aí a conhecer o mundo e as suas inúmeras culturas. Até aos 17/18 anos sempre convenci-me que a minha vida seria a desenhar peças de roupas. Teria a minha própria marca de roupa e teria sucesso num mero estalar de dedos. Mas agora olho para trás, depois olho para a frente e fica aquele bichinho das viagens.

Espero bem que quem foi sortudo o suficiente para ter tal estilo de vida o esteja a aproveitar ao máximo.

I would love to be one of those persnos which job consists on travelling around the world and then publish a couple of comments about that experience. It must be the most fascinating lifestyle ever, for sure. Can you imagine grabbing your bag and just walk around, discovering the world and its wonderful cultures? Until I was 17/18 years old I was pretty much convinced my life would basically be about drawing clothes and having my own brand. Simple as that! Now, when I look back I feel like that's nothing when compared to visiting every corner of this planet.

I hope that those who are lucky enough to have this lifestyle are living it at its maximum!
